Post your useful G15 Macro keys
since we know that Anet doesn't consider the G15 macro keys against the eula, post your useful macros. I will start with one i made and really find helpful.
add person to party: basically all you do is click on persons name in the chat box and hit macro key, voila, person is invited to party.
macro function
tab
ctrl c
tab
/invite

ctrl v

All macro keys have it assigned to them right now. So in times of trouble I can quickly slap my hand on the macro keys and save my Survivor. Sadly it's not lag-proof, and I got spiked by a Jade Brotherhood mob during a brief period of lag yesterday. While I logged out on my screen, apparently the server thought I was still there for another 10 seconds or so, and for some reason my heroes decided not to heal me. So rerolled the character.

As an aside the safest way to evacuate a survivor is to map to the GH.
Do we have an official statement on the use of the G15 and it's macro able Ilk? I don't remember seeing one.

Hmmm. Isn't there a simpler command for that? Ctrl+Enter or similar. /forgets.
I'd recommend macroing Ctrl+Shift+Space for calling in pvp.

Thanks that answers the question, and DAMN you guys are quick, thank you very much for the quick response.
Response (Donovan) 04/25/2006 10:14 AM
Hello Charles,
The macros people get banned for are programs they run to fully automate characters. The 'macro' keys on the G15 would just basically be buttons you press instead of pressing something on the screen. You should have no problems with using the keyboard.
Feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions however.

I have recently purchased a Logitech G15 Keyboard, which has macro keys down the left hand side. After reading that some MMO's band people for using macros, I have been afraid to use these macro keys in Guild Wars.
Is it acceptable to use the macro keys to set up emotes and use the built in Guild Wars profile options??
Many Thanks
Charles De Wit

I've been using Macros for very long now as a quick skill bar.
Now if we could use this applet without getting banned...
PlayNC says it's okay:
Thank you for contacting Guild Wars Support. We have no issue with the display of information so long as you do not modify, adapt, reverse engineer or decompile the Guild Wars client, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the client when creating the applet.
But then again Arena Net can be trigger happy with banning when data from GW.exe gets pulled into another .exe

That doesn't make sense... using something like Ghostmouse to make a macro to leave town, kill mob, map back is bannable, but doing it with a g15 macro is not?
Is the g15 more limited? How many events can it chain? Can it loop the script?

Macro s should be banned and stay banned, imo. To much crap going on with FPS(there allowed but fround upon, lool, help with aiming anybody?) already.
People get waaay to creative with these little scripts, althoug every new mouse, board, stick, pad, ect has em. Tuff subject, to me they take the skill out of gaming(in general).

I got banned for using Texmod a bit ago. Sent them a ticket and a day later I was unbanned. It depends on what you're doing at the time your using it (i.e. farming at the same time while using it reeeally looks suspicious.)

The most complicated macro on my G15 is ctrl+shift+space. Calling targets without attacking is much more pleasant with that one button.

I WANT THAT!!!!! seriously thats freaking awesome.
anyway, most of my keys are just dance and all other funky emotes, best part is having /dance * on a key so you can count to 3 and press it at the same time for those people that want to sync dance.

During the Mad King events I had the responses mapped in.
I used to have my log-ins on there but since my son tried telling all the henches and heros my secrets I decided that isn't such a good idea for now.
It's also good for things you frequently call out in guild chat or questing.

ive not yet got g15 keyboard but i do have a razer diamondback 3g mouse with buttons set to auto target+pickuploot and to open my inventory.
I have tried a ctrl+alt setup but the mouse only allows use as a click rather than holding down ctrl+alt resulting in npc names flashing on then off.

True but all the useful ones are all grouped together for one hand to use them leaving the other free to mouse or what ever
